Brenna M. Bushey

Brenna M. Bushey is a member of our litigation team whose practice centers on medical malpractice, personal injury, insurance defense, real estate litigation, probate litigation, and general civil disputes. Her work spans case assessment, expert engagement, record and imaging analysis, discovery management, motion practice, trial preparation, trial practice, and appellate practice.

Brenna’s courtroom background includes serving as second chair in a seven-day medical malpractice jury trial that concluded with a defense verdict. She examined witnesses, argued motions, and coordinated trial operations. She successfully defended a contested disposition‑of‑human‑remains matter, leading motion practice and witness preparation for trial, and obtained the dissolution of a temporary restraining order for her clients. She has managed eviction trials and conducts depositions across her practice areas.

Brenna earned her J.D. from Creighton University School of Law, where she received a CALI Excellence Award and Pro Bono Distinction, and her B.S. in Public Relations, cum laude, from San José State University. A Dean’s Scholar and two-time varsity swimming captain, she competed at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials and earned academic and athletic honors. She was recognized in the 2026 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants. She also volunteers her expertise to Legal Aid of Nebraska to provide accessible law services to low-income Nebraskans.
