Christian R. Blunk is of counsel with the firm and participates in both the business and litigation departments. Mr. Blunk focuses his practice on corporate law, estate planning and probate, business law, real estate and collection law.

In his corporate practice, he represents corporations, partnerships, LLC formations, as well as ongoing business law needs. He has handled numerous and various securities regulatory matters in exempt transactions, mutual funds, registered investment advisors and NASD arbitration.

Mr. Blunk has broad experience in estate planning and probate matters. His practice encompasses guardian and conservator matters, wills and trusts, special needs trusts, elder law, medicaid planning, irrevocable life insurance trusts and family limited partnerships. Each family has its own unique issues.

Mr. Blunk has also developed a special emphasis on assisting families who are parenting or caring for a child with physical or cognitive challenges. He is experienced in establishing Special Needs Trust and Supplemental Special Needs Trusts which provide the ability to use trust assets to give individuals with special needs "non-necessity" items that would not be available through government benefits. Mr. Blunk also has an emphasis in Medicaid planning and guardianship in assisting families coordinate their generational gifting for the special needs child.

Mr. Blunk advises clients in residential, commercial and industrial real estate transactions and commercial developers. He counsels clients in property management on landlord-tenant matters.

Mr. Blunk has extensive experience in collection and credit counseling assisting clients with receivables recovery in multiple jurisdictions regionally and nationally.

Mr. Blunk received his Bachelor of Science degree with distinction in business administration from University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1980. He received his Juris Doctor from University of Nebraska College of Law in 1984. Mr. Blunk is a member of the Omaha and Nebraska State Bar Associations. He is a Fellow of the Nebraska Bar Association and has served as a member of the District Court Judicial Nominating Commission for the Fourth District and the Committee on Inquiry for the Second District for the Nebraska State Bar Association.

Mr. Blunk has served as a director or board member of the City of Omaha Personnel Board and the Downtown Kiwanis Club. He has participated in the City of Omaha's Chamber of Commerce Leadership Omaha program.
