FINAL OVERTIME EXEMPTION RULE EXPECTED IN LATE-2016

In June 2015, final rules adopted by the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") went into effect, which implemented Title IV of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups ("JOBS") Act. Among the changes brought about by the JOBS Act and the SEC rules was the amendment of the long-standing securities registration exemption known as Regulation A. The amendment of Regulation A created a new securities registration exemption known as Regulation A+, which created a new, albeit complicated, way to reach a broader range of potential investors. WHAT DOES TITLE INSURANCE DO FOR A BUYER

When purchasing real estate, buyers usually obtain title insurance. Buyers often believe that title insurance will protect against any loss due to title defects. Following the Closing, a buyer might assume that if the taxes and the mortgage are timely paid, title to the real estate is secure and buyer is free to use and enjoy the property.
